Timeline of the war of words between Sena's Sanjay Raut and Kangana Ranaut
Sena's Sanjay Raut and Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut snowballed into a massive controversy because of the war of word. The war of word started when Kangana started aiming Maharashtra government and how it has turned into a movie mafia goons.
On August 26
Kangana Ranaut tweeted that she needed protection from the Central Government as she was both her career and her life and that she was convinced that Sushant knew some dirty secrets due to which he was killed.
On August 29
Kangana Ranaut in an interview to the Republic TV alleged that 99% of Bollywood consumes drugs. So, a new angle was introduced, first, it was nepotism, then money laundering and now the angle of drugs.
On August 30
Ram Kadam a BJP MLA then tweeted her and told her to sought police protection if she was so frightened. To which she retweeted and said, 'Thank you for your concern sir, I am more scared of Mumbai police now than movie mafia goons, in Mumbai I would need security either from HP government or directly from the Centre, No Mumbai police please'.
In response to this, Sena's Sanjay Raut requested her to not to come to Mumbai because what she said was an insult to the Mumbai police and that, Home Ministry should take action against it.
On September 3
In reply to that, Kangana tweeted and asked, 'Sanjay Raut Shiv Sena leader has given me an open threat and asked me not to come back to Mumbai after Aazadi graffitis in Mumbai streets and now open threats, why Mumbai is feeling like Pakistan occupied Kashmir?'.
On September 5
In response, Raut hurled abuses at Kangana.
On September 7
In acknowledgement to all of this Home Ministry granted Kangana with the Y plus security cover.
On September 9
Amidst all the controversy, Shiv Sena led BMC demolished the office of Kangana Ranaut claiming that it was an illegal construction.
Later, BMC said that it had issued a notice to her stating that it was an illegal construction even in 2018.

After the incident, Kangana tweeted and said, democracy is dead in this country and compared India to Pakistan.
