"Bring back the Patriot Act", fan demands

 

Patriot Act came to an end after 40 episodes on Netflix. Hasan Minhaj, 34, informed it’s viewers on Twitter quoting, “Patriot Act has come to an end… what a run,” adding his thanks to “Everyone who watched”. Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj came to an end after it’s the sixth season on Netflix. 

Hasan Minhaj an Indian American who is a comedian, writer, producer, political commentator, actor and a television host. He was the first Indian American to have a weekly US talk show. He started streaming on Netflix in 2018 and was known for his humor and sarcastic tone. His show Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj was well known for its mixture of where the news gets a touch-up with comedy. The first season started from October 28, 2018, which lasted till December 2, 2018, while the show last show started from May 17, 2020, and came to an end on June 28, 2020.

Earlier he did a four-year apprenticeship under Jon Stewart and Trevor Noah at 'The Daily Show'. Now in his sneaker and casual wear, he busted on stage with huge digital screens with facts and news with the mixture of comedy. In his three years long run, he covered important topics ranging from 

Immigrant enforcement, Indian Election, mental health to students loan. In 2019, he covered Indian elections and got into controversy for criticizing the ruling party. He spoke widely on topics which were not raised by the mainstream media. 

Being an Indian American Muslim and the only comedian of colors in the industry despite that his show attracted fans from all over the world. Not only he was liked by the people from all over the place his show won Emmy, Peabody Award and Webby Award.

After tweeting about the show ending news the some twitted, "Bring back Patriot Act!!!! It was a breath of fresh air among all the talk shows". In the end, Minhaj doesn't want people to stop noticing the truth and remain silent. At last, Patriot show wants to say us to 'Speak truth to power'.
